The Dublin City Council Waiver Scheme has been amended for the year commencing 1st January 2010.

In 2010 the Standing Charge only will be waived when a Waiver is granted, all bin lifts will be charged.

The Standing Charge in 2010 will be:

- € 96 per annum in respect of households with a 240 litre Grey Bin
- € 78 per annum in respect of households with a 140-litre Grey Bin.

All Lift Charges must be paid in 2010.

Households that are granted a Waiver will be billed therefore for all Grey and Brown Wheeled Bin lifts presented from 1st January 2010 at a rate of:

- € 6.00 per 240 litre Grey Bin 
- € 3.60 per 140 litre Grey Bin
- € 2.00 per Brown Bin.

The first bills for 2010 will be issued in April. A Waiver Application form will be sent with your Bill.

Households that are granted a Waiver in 2010 AND who pay their Waste Charge Bill on time will be allowed one free bin lift on their next Bill.

Dublin City Council offers waivers for households whose sole income is from social welfare or where the household income falls below the income tax threshold. 

Hardship cases are assessed through an application process on an individual basis.
